Company में Business या Turnover नहीं है: कौन-सी Annual Filings जाँचें?

An inactive trading period is not the same as a legally closed company.

Read for preparation. Confirm the current official requirements for your facts and reporting period before filing or paying.

A company can have compliance obligations even when it has no sales. Its continuing legal status, transactions, capital, bank activity and applicable filing framework must be reviewed. “No business” should not be used as an automatic instruction to skip accounts, ROC or tax work. [1] [2]

Establish the actual activity

Check bank interest, founder payments, preliminary expenses, loans, asset purchases and subscription money. A company may have no revenue yet still have financial transactions and balances to report. Reconcile these before describing the accounts as nil.

Choose a deliberate continuing-status plan

Review annual financial and corporate filings, tax-return requirements and any event-based obligations. Where the owners do not intend to continue, assess the proper closure or other available status route separately. Until a lawful change takes effect, do not treat a decision to stop trading as completed closure. [1]

Practical preparation checklist

  • Current company status and intended future use.
  • Bank, expense, capital and liability reconciliation.
  • Applicable annual forms and tax-return review.
  • Closure/dormancy advice where relevant, with pending work identified.

Illustrative example

A newly incorporated company has not invoiced a customer but has paid setup costs and received subscription money. Those transactions still need a proper accounting record and a compliance assessment.

Avoid this mistake

Do not file unsupported zero figures or assume a nil GST return settles company-law obligations. A recurring compliance quotation should distinguish a genuinely low-transaction company from one with incomplete books or old defaults. Both can have no sales but require very different work.
