Company-incorporation charges can include separate MOA, AOA and incorporation-form stamp components under the applicable state framework. Authorised capital may affect the amount. A central filing-fee concession does not itself remove state stamp duty, DSC costs or other separately applicable charges. [1] [2]
Match the rule to the actual case
Use the registration state, company type and actual authorised capital. A fixed amount, percentage with a minimum, or capital-block rule produces different results. Check which components are confirmed and whether a surcharge or current form-duty assessment remains unresolved. Do not interpolate blindly between sample capital values.
Separate evidence from a payable quote
Historical charts and source-based estimates can help budget, but an old form description is not automatically the current SPICe+ Part B amount. Where Zeofox displays a known-charge subtotal and a pending-duty note, the omitted charge has not been treated as zero. Ask for confirmation and the relevant receipt/challan before final settlement.
Practical preparation checklist
- Registration state and actual authorised capital.
- Separate MOA, AOA, form-duty and levy components.
- Source date, review status and unresolved items.
- Professional, DSC and PAN/TAN-related costs listed separately.
Illustrative example
Two companies with identical professional fees may have different state-related duty. A quotation showing only professional assistance and DSCs is not a complete government-charge calculation if a duty item remains pending. Read the qualification alongside the total.
Avoid this mistake
Do not call every amount on an incorporation invoice a statutory stamp charge. Provider fees and professional work belong in their own lines. This guide does not certify a current all-state tariff; use the active, reviewed rate configuration and case-specific confirmation.
