Company ITR और ROC Annual Filing: क्या एक Filing से दोनों काम हो जाते हैं?

Financial statements can support several filings without making those filings interchangeable.

Company ROC filings and the income-tax return serve different legal and reporting purposes. MCA receives the applicable corporate and financial information; the tax return reports the income computation and other required tax particulars. Completing one does not automatically complete the other. [1] [2]

Use one reconciled accounts base

Start with approved financial records, then prepare the specific adjustments and disclosures each regime requires. Accounting profit and taxable income may differ. Keep a reconciliation of disallowances, deductions, losses and other adjustments rather than assuming the profit-and-loss figure equals tax payable.

Track separate approvals and acknowledgements

Maintain a task list for financial-statement filing, annual return, tax return and any audit reports. Check current deadlines and form versions independently. Assign responsibility for signatures and verification, and retain each acknowledgement. A general “annual filing done” message should identify which filings were actually completed.

Practical preparation checklist

  • Approved accounts and corporate records.
  • Tax-computation reconciliation and applicable audit reports.
  • Separate MCA and income-tax filing checklist.
  • Signatures, verification and acknowledgements for each.

Illustrative example

A company uploads its annual return to MCA and assumes its tax filing is complete. The tax portal may still show no return for the relevant period. Separate completion evidence prevents this misunderstanding.

Avoid this mistake

Do not market one form as an all-in compliance solution. A bundled service is useful only when its included accounts, audit, ROC and tax deliverables are clearly defined. Pending earlier periods and notices should be separately reviewed.
