PRACTICAL SERVICE GUIDE
Start with the company's CIN, legal name, financial year and whether previous filings are complete. Tell the team if accounts, audit or corporate records are still pending. A quotation for a current-year filing exercise is different from a proposal for several overdue years. Company annual filing also differs from GST returns, income-tax work and LLP compliance.
ROC annual work commonly involves financial-statement filing in the applicable AOC-4 form and the annual return in MGT-7 or MGT-7A, as applicable to the company. The team must check the current company category and filing requirements. Do not select a form solely because it has the lowest headline price. Not every company has identical forms, attachments, certification requirements or deadlines.
Prepare the previous filing acknowledgements, financial statements and applicable reports, meeting particulars, director details and ownership/member records requested for review. Mark documents as draft or final so an incomplete working paper is not mistaken for an approved record. Share the material through the assigned private order and respond to clarification requests in the same conversation.
An annual-support label should say what it covers. Accounting finalisation, statutory audit, professional certification, resolutions and filing coordination are different work items. Required professional involvement must be identified in the engagement; a software dashboard is not an audit opinion or a certification. Do not assume audit, taxation or every event-based filing is included unless the quotation expressly says so.
Ask for the relevant financial year, forms, included document work and review steps to appear in the proposal. Government filing charges, additional or late fees, professional charges and applicable taxes should be clear. The fee shown for a standard service cannot safely cover an unknown historic backlog. Zeofox can record a custom-scope request where the final amount requires document review; a missing amount is not a free filing offer.
Confirm records and obtain the required approvals before work proceeds. Check actual due dates and extensions using the official MCA announcements for the applicable entity and period. Do not backdate records to fit a display deadline. After the agreed work, retain the acknowledgements and final documents. The order workspace tracks the engagement; it does not guarantee authority acceptance or remove ongoing corporate responsibilities.
